Echo Bay Marina

PROBLEM RESOLVED, now a HAPPY CAMPER (BOAT RENTER) Drew the GM contacted me immediately after reading the below review and apologized for the mishandling of the situation. He not only agreed to allow my deposit to apply toward a future rental but also issued an additional credit as well. A smart businessman and a gentleman as well. Most refreshing in today's world. THANK -YOU DREW, MUCH APPRECIATED !! VERY DISAPPOINTED !! I rented a boat via their on-line system to celebrate my birthday on 9/9 with my family. My daughter tested positive for Covid on 9/7. I cancelled the reservation on-line. I subsequently called Echo Bay to reschedule the date and was told since I cancelled less than 72 hours I would forfeit my deposit. The person I spoke with on the phone said she could not authorize applying the deposit to another date but would transfer me to Drew’s (owner / manager ? ) voicemail. I left a detailed message on his voicemail. I let 24 hours go by and did not receive a return call. I found an email address on the Echo Bay website and sent an email with same info. Well over a week later I have not received a reply to my email. Additionally the weather on 9/9 was stormy all afternoon so I doubt we would have been able to be out on the lake anyway. I ended up renting a boat from Gerard’s yesterday 9/16 and had an excellent experience with them. The weather yesterday morning was cool, windy and cloudy and they called me to see if I wanted to reschedule for another date and without penalty. I thought at the minimum I would at least receive a response to my phone call or email from Echo Bay, very disappointing !

Our experience with Echo Bay Marina was flawless. The boat was in perfect working order and was a pretty newish model. The boat was extremely comfortable for all 9 souls with room to move around. The staff was extremely friendly and patient with us. We were instructed several times as we all arrived at different times but Michael instructed us with genuine kindness and care each time. We had dogs, children and adults and there were life vests for everyone that worked extremely well. What could have been a tedious slog with the kids and dogs was a pure joy. All of the staff were helpful casting off and coming back. Our time at Echo Bay Marina couldn’t have been more fun and will be one that will be remembered.

We had the best time of our lives today, thanks to the crackerjack staff at Echo Bay Marina! The boat was beautiful, the scenery was gorgeous, the lake is an amazing place, and the day was as relaxing and enjoyable as any we could imagine. We were blown away by how helpful and professional and courteous the entire staff was... Everyone went way above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that all of us had a safe and unforgettably terrific experience. I can't thank them enough. We will DEFINITELY be doing this again and again. If you love the outdoors, this is an adventure the whole family will enjoy and want to do over and over again. You can boat, swim, fish, sightsee, picnic, bird watch... I wish we could do this every day. MANY sincere, heartfelt thanks to the best staff on earth for a perfect day! WHAT A BLAST!
